01 / OPEN

Open VisuBOM in Onshape

Open your assembly and start VisuBOM via the add-on icon. The BOM structure appears directly next to the CAD model – complete with component images, quantities, and relevant properties.

First click: Open the VisuBOM Addon in Onshape

02 / EXPORT

Click "Export XLSX"

The visual BOM shows the hierarchy of your assembly and its corresponding parts. With a click on "Export XLSX", VisuBOM creates the Excel file.

Second click: Start XLSX export from the VisuBOM bill of materials

03 / DONE

Use formatted Excel file with images

Open the download: The Excel spreadsheet contains component images, assembly levels, quantities, and available metadata in a clear format – ready for purchasing, documentation, and further processing.
